Maximum Speed: 25 kmh

Average Speed: 13 kmh

Chase driver:  Steve Vogelsang

Riders: Ken

A 5:00 am drizzle laden wake up had me back on the trail by 6:00. Going was tough with high grass and thorns. By 6:17 I had my first flat. Within 45 minutes my luck had changed. The drizzle was gone, the  landscape opened up and the trail was fast. As I clipped along I spied a skunk in the middle of the road. So jubilant was I with my turn of events that I pulled out my camera and gave chase . (See the picture, its a little crummy as it was taken while riding done a trail.) As I chased him I wondered, "what if I catch him". So that was that for that.

After 40 km we drove to Minnedosa to speak with a group of 60 - 70 people at the 55 Plus Community Center.  The only thing better than the pot luck lunch we enjoyed were the people we met. It was a pleasure to meet Garry and Lynn Tolton who were there to welcome us as  representatives of Manitoba Pork. The volumes of food got me through the rest of the day and another 60+ km, conversely Steve went to sleep.

Another early day tomorrow with lots of events, so over and out.

As always, thanks for your support. Ken
