Today was the best day of cycling to date. We took the road bike out of the H.M.S. Harvest this morning and pointed it down the Trans Canada Highway. The 50 ish km to Carberry fell in less than two hours.

In Carberry we stopped by the local BMO for a cheque presentation by the branch manager, Tannis Graham.(I took a picture)

On the way out of the bank I started talking to a guy on the sidewalk. That is to say, we were both standing on the sidewalk. Anyway, he heard what we were up to and pitched in 20 bucks. You can't beat Manitobans. People are always willing to help out once they are sensitized to hunger issues in their communities. Looks like a good segway to remind everyone that June 2nd is National Hunger Awareness Day. I'll let you know all about it in subsequent updates.

After lunch we made for Spruce Woods Provincial Park. Not only was the riding amazing I saw a mushroom that looked like a brain. No really... I took pictures.

By days end we were 60 km ahead of schedule no rain and 23 degrees. What a day.

As always, thanks for your continuing support. Ken
