Financial Reporter

The Puratone Corporation is seeking a self-motivated individual to assume the role of Financial Reporter. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, this position is based at our Corporate office in Niverville, MB.

Responsibilities:

·         Maintaining the general ledger and financial reporting requirements for an assigned portfolio of divisional or business unit financials

·         Review the prepared financials of the assigned portfolio of other Financial Reporting team members

·         Support the systems conversion teams with systems testing through the identification of testing scenarios and performance and subsequent feedback reporting on those scenarios

·         Support the departmental succession planning and cross training initiatives

The successful candidate will have completion or enrollment in an accounting program or equivalent level of experience, with a strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles.  An ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision is critical to success, as is an attention to detail and good time management skills.  Experience with systems project work and with Microsoft Dynamics /Great Plains is preferred but not required.
