The Environment Act: This legislation has some rules which regulate the hog industry from an environmental perspective.
The Planning Act: This legislation has some rules which regulate the swine industry from a locational perspective.
The Livestock Manure and Mortalities Management Regulation: This regulation is the major set of rules governing the handling of manure in Manitoba as regulated under The Environment Act.
The Provincial Planning Regulation: This regulation contains specific rules related to sizes and location of hog operation as regulated under The Planning Act.
