Production Manager

Reporting directly to the Senior Production Manager, based in Niverville, MB the successful applicant will possess an ability to initiate and execute continuous improvement initiatives to maximize profitability.  Travel throughout Manitoba is required.  

Responsibilities:

·   Initiate and Execute Continuous Improvement Initiatives to maximize profitability

·   Provide leadership to Facility Managers through coaching and mentoring

·   Establish and meet production targets

·   Assist in the recruitment, training and development of staff,

·   Ensure facilities are properly maintained, and the compliance by all reporting personnel to Puratone’s Environmental and Standard Operating Procedures, Animal Welfare, and Workplace Safety and Health policies

Qualifications:

·   Ag degree or diploma in Agriculture, (Animal Sciences) an asset

·   Work experience at a senior level in a large pig production facility considered an asset

·   Proven ability to initiate and execute continuous improvement to maximize profitability

·   Excellent Computer skills - Word, Excel, Access,

·   Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·   Ability to motivate  and achieve results through others
