Super-Gro Gilts Ltd. is a successful family run farm under the Progressive Group of Companies. We were established in 1995.
We are currently looking for a Farrowing Supervisor at our 1400 sow multiplication facility in the Marchand, MB area.

The Farrowing Supervisors Responsibilities include but not limited too:
• Overseeing the farrowing process, including the care of sows and piglets
• Ensuring animals receive proper feed, water, ventilation
• Managing employees and ensuring the farm runs smoothly and efficiently
• Maintaining proper standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Work with management team to Implement action plans to meet farm goals
• Maintaining accurate records using smart technologies
• Maintaining correct temperature/ventilation settings
• Maintaining current inventory and supplies order list
• Supporting and maintaining a safe work environment
Skills Needed:
• People management and animal care skills
• Ability to see production and personnel problems and work with management team to resolve issues quickly and fairly
• Ability to delegate fairly and thoroughly
• Ability to treat people with respect, integrity and patience
• Ability to lead by example
Qualifications Needed:
• Have a good understanding of the Canadian Pork Excellence program
• Minimum of 2 years of swine husbandry experience
• Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle
• Ability to read, write and speak English well
• Physically able to lift over 50lbs
• Ability to be adaptable to change; trainable; follow protocols; and lead team in the current goals and SOP’s of the farm.
Scheduled Weekend work and some early morning/late evening shifts are required.
