PORK PROUD Ambassador Program

Manitoba Pork has created an ambassador program specifically for hog farmers and industry experts who want to tell their story.

PorkProud PublicEngagement

Why should you be a PORK PROUD ambassador?

Earning public trust in food and farming is important to the growth, success, and reputation of our industry. If you don’t tell your story, who will?

What does it mean to be a PORK PROUD ambassador?

As a PORK PROUD ambassador, you’ll receive hands on training to effectively communicate the local benefits of the sector and modern food production while promoting how Manitoba’s hog and pork sector make a meaningful social impact.

What does the training involve?

Training sessions include a mixture of required and optional workshops in a variety of subject areas including answering tough questions, storytelling through social media, written communications, and media training. PORK PROUD ambassadors have the opportunity to work at some of Manitoba Pork’s community engagement events to tell their story directly, with support from Manitoba Pork staff. Ambassadors also receive a robust information kit including fact sheets, Q&As, all relevant training documents and receive free access to PORK PROUD branded swag.
