Your days will include:
- Leading and mentoring the maintenance team, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Overseeing equipment reliability by managing preventive maintenance (PMs) and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues.
- Planning and prioritizing work orders, ensuring efficient resolution of maintenance tasks and operational challenges.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
- Training, developing, and supporting employees, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Collaborating with management and external contractors to maintain high standards in maintenance and compliance.
- Contributing to special projects and additional tasks to support operational needs.
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Post-secondary education or Trades Certificate in Electrical, Millwright, Power Engineering, or related field; Red Seal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical or electrical trades with hands-on experience in plant maintenance.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives is an asset.
- Familiarity with CFIA/USDA regulations and health and safety compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities with proficiency in MS Office and maintenance-related software.
