First Aid

First Aid is a basic one-day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace. The course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. The course content includes preparing to respond, the EMS system, “Check, Call, Care,” airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies, First Aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest and wound care.

H2S Awareness

Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Awareness discusses basic properties of H2S, to information about personal protective equipment as well as operating and rescue procedures. This course will explain in detail what you need to know to remain safe around H2S, emphasize key points. Students will learn important properties such as flammability, toxicity, odour thresholds and vapour levels, protection against H2S using equipment such as respirators, rescue packs and gas monitors, and precautions to take to ensure your safety when entering an area which may contain H2S vapours.

Transport Quality Assurance (TQA)

TQA is a program that helps swine transporters, producers and handlers understand how to handle, move and transport pigs and the potential impacts of those actions on pig well-being and pork quality. Details on how to register for a course can be found on Manitoba Pork's TQA webpage.
